Democratic Senator Accuses Trump of Interfering in FBI Investigation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh
In 2018, then President Donald Trump claimed that it would be “open season” for the FBI with respect to investigating allegations of sexual impropriety against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. A report released by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) is critical of the inquiry as being ‘flawed and incomplete’ and blames the White house Trump administration for domestic counter-intelligence.
Tina, based on the last part of the report about Whitehouse resides with them claims that the FBI took thousands of tips and leads and then instead of following those leads the FBI forwarded them to the White House. According to him, the Trump presidency manipulated the perimeters of the investigation, stopping the FBI from seeking to question crucial individuals and stifling the investigation. He further accused the administration of “crossing the knees” with the issues in the investigations and misleading the Senate.
Kavanaugh who was confirmed by the Senate upon a vote of 50-48 has been accused by Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez of sexual offenses during their formal education years. He has also vehemently opposed those claims leveled against him by his opponents There are echoes of the Stormy Daniels scandal over the Trump phase.
Karoline Leavitt, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, dismissed these findings as a manner of “discrediting the Supreme court” and added that it was the Democrats who were behind the mudslinging to block Kavanaugh’s ascendency.
